My
Dad did an orienteering night class in the early sixties which lead
me to start orienteering in my teens, with the occasional trot round
the block. At Uni I joined the O club and tentatively started a bit
of training. In the 2nd year I met Kevin, we married four years later
and by that time I was running a bit more. Did the London in 1982 when
I was working for Shell (can't quite remember my time but over 5 hours).
Also did my first Kimm probably 1981 from Stool End Farm Langdale with
Kevin, but after three more (not with K, 2 with Janet Rosen) I resigned.
We were orienteering a lot not with huge success until Rebecca's arrival
when we virtually stopped apart from holiday type events. In 1992 Kevin
saw someting in the local paper about Tring Jogging Club and came along.
After a few weeks he persuaded me to go and the rest is history. .
