I decided to try running in 2001 when 1.5 miles around the block felt
like an extremely long way. From there I worked my way slowly up to
my first half marathon in 2003. Felt I had a really good year in 2005,
completing approx. 16 races including my first FLM. A dip in 'commitment'
sent me backwards in 2006 & now I'm struggling to get back to that level
(physically & mentally!!!!). Am never going to win any prizes but consider
myself (at top fitness) to be a reasonable 'normal' runner.

Highlights
Always enjoy social summer evening runs with the club
Aims Have knocked 25 minutes off my half marathon but only
2 minutes off my 10k time, so I'd like to get my 10k time down. Oh,
and I'd like to get under 60 minutes for the Bell Loop. Got within
3 minutes of the target in 2005!!
Rave Run
Can't think of any races I've actually enjoyed!!! Possibly my first
GNR & FLM for the 'event' element of them. Now prefer smaller, friendly
races.
Best Training Run
2005 marathon training with Brian, Dave & Nigel. One particular occasion
springs to mind……. Dave will know which run I'm referring to : Strangely
I've come to enjoy the Bell Loop.
