We recommend you try us out before committing – just come along (with a head torch) and there will always be someone to give a hand.

Please note that we are suspending the Wednesday evening runs from the clubhouse until further notice. This is in response to the rapid changes in the coronavirus advice and the government’s recommendation to avoid all unnecessary gatherings. We will monitor the situation and will update you on any changes, including on what this means for future Tring Running Club events, as soon as we are able to.

At Tring Running Club we welcome all levels of adult runner from complete beginners to elite athletes. On our training night on a Wednesday there is a group for everyone. In summer we run almost exclusively off road in the beautiful Chiltern Hills.  Most of us still do this in winter, but there is also the option of interval training on road.

The tables below show the range of groups normally out on Wednesdays at Tring Running Club. The groups are flexible and sometimes small extra groups emerge when runners of a similar pace  group together (eg a very fast group).
We have used your Tring parkrun PB as a guide to which group you should join as this is something most local runners are familiar with and also is similar to the terrain we run on. (If you haven’t run  Tring parkrun then take away about 90 seconds from the Tring parkrun time to get to a flatter 5K course equivalent).
