Chiltern League Cross Country: Final Round 11 Feb 2012 The details of the fifth and final round of the Chiltern League Cross Country on the 11th February 2012 have now been published. The venue will be The Cottesloe School, Wing. The course is over grassland with a few hills, but apparently it has been modified slightly this year to reduce the times we go through those muddy gateways!! If you have spikes these will be an advantage but not a necessity...just tie them on tightly!! Please note the change of times for both the Men's and Ladies races; the men running first at 1.30pm and the ladies at 2.30pm If you want a last chance this season, of helping your club keep it's place in the 1st Division then this is your opportunity. We are clinging on in the Total Overall scores, at 11th place out of 14 after 4 Rounds. Remember the bottom 2 teams will be relegated to the 2nd Division. At the moment Oxford City are in 12th place and (local rivals) Bearbrook and Gade Valley are in 13th and 14th places. In the past 10 years Tring have only managed to get into Division 1 twice and we have never succeeded in staying there (due largely to rarely having any junior runners)! So it would be a feat indeed to achieve that goal. Please come along and give it a try if you never have, and if you have in the past ...well come along again!! It's free, muddy and great atmosphere. I'm sure there will be a few people car sharing again, and maybe a few cakes to lure you along. Hope to see you all there ...just bring TRC vest.
