100% – top marks for Clare and Lorraine

A round-up from the last couple of weeks

Top marks – After 25 weeks Clare Murphy and Lorraine Hurford still are earning  the class top marks with an impressive 100% 25/25 attendance. Although Emma and Neil Adcock have also reached 25 parkruns in 2025 with recent overseas national day parkruns.

Loads of tourism photos over the 2 weeks which I’ve added below. Thanks for sending them in to the WhatsApp group.

Similar numbers for both weeks with 39 of us running last week with 23 at Wendover and 4 at Dunstable and 40 this week with 17 at Wendover and lots touristing.

On the podium last week we had Josh Frewin who came 3rd at Aylesbury and this week Christina Stevens finished 3rd female at Dunstable.

Well done to Ann-Marie Evans who ran her 300th parkrun last week at Wendover (Tring 24%, Wendover 21%, Dunstable 11%). Well done also to Kevin Berg who this week reached his 50th parkrun milestone (62% Wendover, 30% Hampstead Heath).

Congrats to Paul McCormack who got a course PB at Aylesbury in a time of 23:21, knocking 11 seconds off his previous PB from 2018.

Closest to a PB was Joni Duncan with her time of 28:56 at Wendover woods. Just 4 seconds off her all-time PB. Well done Joni.

Emma Adcock continued her international tourism last week with her run at Kagerzoom on the Saturday and an extra parkrun on Monday at Delftse Hout, both in Holland. Emma was also the first from TRC to run at both of these.

Meanwhile in the UK, Anna Ashwell was our first member to run at Rother Valley near Sheffield.

A big touristing well done to Jules Wake who at Kettering completed a combined running and volunteering double alphabet and good to see that she is running again.

Tony Stewart was our furthest travelled last week with his trip to Kräherwald, near Stuttgart in Germany. He was also the first of our members to run here. Kirsty and Kevin Dance won this week’s award with their trip to Tokoinranta in Finland and were the first from TRC to run here.

Aesthetically pleasing time awards go to Dennis Raffety with a mirrored 32:23 at Wendover and Stuart Page with a matching 27:27 at Talkin Tarn Country Park in Scotland.

For your diaries – Our next TRC monthly parkrun outing is to Cassiobury on 28th June. A fast local tarmac course and as it is the last Saturday in the month there will be pacers from Watford Joggers to help if you want to aim for a time.
