Two all-time parkrun PBs in one family!

46 members is our weekly parkrun average in 2025 and smack on average 46 ran this week.

John Manning was first to set off – running at Riverway in Australia. Whilst Kevin and Kirsty Dance, were last to set off with their run at Renton in Seattle on the US west coast. The first from TRC to run at Renton.

Anything but average performance for Tom Moreton. Tom Moreton has done it again – I would love to know what is going into the Saturday morning pre-run porridge in the Moreton household! Another all-time PB, this time at Rickmansworth in a time of 17:49, knocking 25 seconds off his previous all-time parkrun PB that he set just 7 days ago. Well done also to son Huw Moreton who, not to be outdone by his dad, knocked 41 seconds off his previous all-time PB to dip under 20 mins with a time of 19:57 at Rickmansworth. Next week will be a celebratory 100th parkrun for Huw too. That puts Tom at 11th and Huw 43rd fastest of the current membership.

Well done for a bunch of course PBs – Carole Page Dunstable Downs in a time of 27:00, Christina Stevens 26:24 at Leavesden Country, Emmaleen Muldoon 41:51 at Church Mead and Gill Gordon 34:29 at Wendover Woods.

A quiet podium this week with just Mary Ward finishing 3rd female at Dunstable.

Did you have a go at guessing the R’s most run at? Well the answers were 2 local ones  being Rushmere and Rickmansworth and then Rutland Water (thanks to Stuart Fogarty)

So, onto the 3 most seen S’s. Can you guess them? – you’re looking for a couple of local courses and one on the south coast.

For your diaries – Next TRC monthly outing is to Houghton Hall on 17th May. A friendly local tarmac course. Further details can be found here https://www.parkrun.org.uk/houghtonhall/course/
